ITI Integration to Employment - College Action Plans


During Phase 3.1 of the CIITE project, an Organizationala Development activity was implemented to support colleges in their strategic planning as well as their change management efforts while they each work toward the implementation of services and programs that facilitate the integration of internationally trained immigrants to employment.

 

Outcomes and Reports on Phase 3.1

 

The initial activity was completed between June 2008 and March 2009 and involved 11 colleges. Each participating institution took part in a self-audit process and developed a corresponding Action Plan. A consolidated report on the findings is available for download.  The report contains key findings from the self-audit results of 11 colleges, an analysis of trends among colleges, a summary of the Action Plans drafted by the participating colleges, and a set of general recommendations in support of implementation.

 

This report also contains all the relevant background information related to this activity and the development of the self-audit tool.

As a result of this activity, a comprehensive tool has been developed for colleges wishing to participate in a self-audit for the first time, or for a second time to measure progress. This version contains a complete step-by-step process to guide you through data collection, tabulation and analysis of your results. It contains worksheets to help you synthesize findings and to help you or a group go through an Action Planning process.

Alternative versions of the self-audit tool

 

During Phase 3.1, several colleges expressed the need for a more generic tool, one that would broadened to scope of internationally trained immigrants to all non-direct entry students. Some colleges were also interested in various parts of the self-audit orginal version. To that end, 2 alternative versions have been created. Feel free to use these versions for your questionnaire, while using the instructions provided in the comprehensive package for a step-by-step guide to collecting, tabulating and analysing your data.
